The objective behind the formation of the Institute is based on a premise that a human settlement is like any other living entity, complex in its structure and functions. Therefore, to plan and manage human settlements, a pooling of expertise and skills is required.

KSS-ISPER comprises of professionals with a vast and varied experience in the field of human settlement Planning, traffic-transport and mobility, GIS, remote sensing, geography, population studies, geology, economics and management, sociology, infrastructure planning, architecture, civil and public health engineering, environment, soil scientists, hydrologists etc.
